Siri……Find A Voiceover Artist Near Me
Looking to find a voiceover artist near you? So where is near you? Where are you based? Bristol, London, Glasgow, Marseille, Milan, Los Angeles, New York, Delhi, Dubai, Shanghai or Beijing maybe.
The joy of technology means I’m near you, wherever in the world you may be! Ummm that may sound a bit creepy…
But are you looking for a female voiceover who can attend your recording studio in your own locality? Well if your locality is within Bristol, Gloucestershire, The Cotswolds, Somerset and South Wales – I can easily join you in your own studio and record your voiceover face to face. I can travel an hour, hour and a half from my base in South Gloucestershire to meet and record with you in person.
But, If you and your project are a little further away, then that’s no problem.
We’ve got two options to find a voiceover artist:
Option 1: Travelling to you
I’m more than happy to bring my voice to you and record in your local studio if you are able to cover my travel costs and possibly other necessary expenses – depending on the distances involved.
But the easier and more efficient option is Option 2.
Option 2 : Home Studio Recording
I have worked with customers all over the world. We don’t need to be in the same physical space to get the voiceover recording you’re proud of.
Firstly, I can record in my own home studio. So you don’t need to worry about the logistics of hiring facilities or technicians and engineers – and the costs that come with that! My studio hire is included within the quote I provide for your project narration.
Working from home also allows me a degree of flexibility in recording times so I can accommodate clients in different time zones. This is not always possible when outsourcing a recording/production studio.
The process of recording can be done in 2 ways.
90% of my work is self-directed. What does that mean? Well generally before I go into my booth to record, we’ll discuss how you’d like the VO to sound. So you’ll offer some suggestions on direction with regards to tone, pace, maybe you’ve heard one of my demos and would like the sound of that replicated. I can record a quick custom demo from your script so you can get a good idea how the script will sound – and you can always make changes at this stage – for example: do it faster or slower, make it sound less chatty and more formal. That sort of thing.
Once we’ve agreed on the sound – I’ll record the voiceover, edit it and send it to you via email or hightail, Dropbox or similar.
The other possibility is that you can ‘virtually’ join me in my studio as I record the voiceover. You can then hear me in real time, and of course, you can use this to direct the session remotely. There are a variety of ways we can link up and you can join the recording session.
The easiest way is simply to call me and I’ll put the mobile in the booth with me and you can listen in through the phone.
The other ways are linking up my microphone and effectively streaming it through the internet to your computer. We can do this using different methods such as Source Connect Now or BodalgoCall, but the important thing for you to know is that YOU don’t need any technical or fancy equipment for this to work. All you need is a Chrome browser ( and make sure it’s the most up to date version).
It’s a really simple process: I will email you a link which, when you click on it, you will then hear me directly in my studio. It does help if you’ve got a decent internet connection. But it really should be a straightforward process and it’s completely free to use.
A Voiceover Near Me
So in summary, if you’re based in Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire or South Wales – you’re in my backyard. So if you wish, I can record in a studio local to you or record here in my home studio and email the VO to your inbox.
And if you’re not based near me, then,
1)if you’re happy to pick up the tab I can record anywhere physically near you – wherever ‘near you’ may be.
2)But the easier, cost-efficient way, is if I record in my home studio and using the wonders of the internet send you the voiceover file to your inbox.
Let’s book in a voiceover session for you! Email your script to alison@thephonevoice.com and we’ll take it from there…
